The United States has urged Pakistan to immediately arrest or expel Taliban leaders who are responsible for terror attacks across the border in Afghanistan. US has made the request days after a militant group attacked a hotel in Kabul causing the deaths of 22 persons including 14 foreigners and eight Afghans.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders speaking to the media, observed: "We call on Pakistan to immediately arrest or expel the Taliban's leaders and prevent the group from using Pakistani territory to support its operations. In Afghanistan terrorists attacked a hotel in Kabul. Such attacks on civilians only strengthen our resolve to support our Afghan partners. We commend the swift and effective response of the Afghan security forces."
