Jamal Khashoggi’s death; World Editors’ Forum demands immediate response from Saudi Arabia

World Editors Forum 700 02

World Editors Forum has urged Saudi Arabia to provide immediate response to Jamal Khashoggi’s death. It demanded the highest level of investigation and punishment for both the perpetrators of the crime and its masterminds if proven.

A press release of the Forum said: “Growing international consensus suggests an assassination team sent from Riyadh... murdered Mr. Khashoggi, and that senior Saudi officials were complicit.

If proven, [it] should be met with universal condemnation and a genuine commitment to actively support efforts to improve the safety and security of journalists.”
