Ed. Milliband yesterday announced that he would quit as Leader of Labour Party following the party’s defeat at the election. He made the announcement at the party Head Quarters. ‘I joined the party at the age of 17. It is time for someone else to take over. I am truly sorry. We have come back before and we will come back.’ 


David Cameron is to return to 10 Downing Street as Prime Minister of Britain following a victory of the Conservative Party in the country’s parliamentary election. Conservative has won a comfortable majority by securing 327 seats in the 650 member Legislature. Cameron with his wife Samantha led the election campaign which has paved the way for a second term of office as Prime Minister.    


People of Britain commenced casting their votes at 50,000 polling stations today to elect 650 members to the UK Parliament. For the first time people cast votes online.
