Jaya’s death; TN to appoint Commission of Inquiry


Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami announced on Thursday that a probe will be conducted into the death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha last December. The Commission of Inquiry will be headed by a retired High Court judge.

Meanwhile, the Apollo Hospitals has welcomed the announcement. In a statement issued, it said; “The team at Apollo Hospitals, which relentlessly fought to save her, is confident that the Committee will bring to light the outstanding treatment and care she received. The findings of the Committee “will put to rest all the unfounded speculation in this regard.”
