Citizenship Act Amendment is betrayal of Tamils, nation … Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan

Makkal Needhi Maiam Chief Kamal Haasan has criticized the Citizenship Act Amendment as betrayal of Tamils and the nation by the Centre and the ruling AIADMK.

He stated that his party was opposed to the proposed nation-wide National Register of Citizens. The cadres of the AIADMK were obedient to their masters. They were dancing to the tunes of the BJP-led Centre. His party had moved the Supreme Court against the amendment to the Citizenship Act.

Referring to Home Minister Amit Shah saying that the CAA was not against Muslims, Kamal Haasan quoted a Tamil proverb to indicate that the Minister was obstinate and does not see reason.
