Commemorative coins released to mark MGRs birth centenary 700 01

Tamil Nadu government recently released commemorative coins to mark the birth centenary of former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran at a simple ceremony held at the State-run Medical University. The Chief Guest was Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami.

The first sets of coins in the denominations of ₹100 and ₹5 were received by Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam. Council of Ministers, senior officials and Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University Sudha Seshayyan were present.

The Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister, other Ministers and elected representatives paid floral tributes to the statue of the former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran.
