Dravidar Kazhagam president K Veeramani 700 01
Dravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani has appealed to all secular political parties in India to rally under one umbrella to preserve and protect the secular character of the society in India.

He was addressing reporters after the party’s executive council meeting at Periyar Thidal in Chennai on Tuesday. He hailed that the DMK had shown the way forward in this direction in national politics after its president M.K. Stalin backed Congress president Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Veeramani said: “Secular forces that have not yet joined the 21 parties that are already with UPA must join hands and ensure that secular votes are not split in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2019. The BJP and its allies should be convincingly defeated”
