Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu called on the DMK president MK Stalin at the latter's residence recently and held talks.

Sources said that the talks focused mainly on forming a rainbow alliance of regional and national parties against the BJP.

Speaking to the media after meeting Stalin, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said: “If there is no democracy, there can be no political parties. The defeat of BJP is important to save democracy and various independent institutions of the country like RBI, judiciary and CBI.”
