Vaiko charged for speech inciting fear or alarm among the public


MDMK Leader Vaiko has been charged by the Thoothukudy police allegedly for delivering a speech inciting fear or alarm among the public. He is alleged to have made the speech at a meeting held in Thoothukudy South.

He has been charged by the police under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 505 (1) (b) (intent to cause fear to public, whereby any person may be induced to commit an offence against the State or public tranquility) and 7 (1) (a) of the Criminal Law Amendment Act.
