Sasikala returns to Bengaluru jail

Convict Sasikala aide of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa left Thanjavur on Saturday morning by road to Parapana Agrahara Prisons in Bengaluru, three days before the completion of her parole period.

Sasikala who serves a sentence on being convicted in the disproportionate assets case involving Jayalalithaa as well was granted parole for 15 days on March 20 following the death of her husband M. Natarajan. Natarajan's obsequies were completed on Friday at the Arulananda Nagar house in Thanjavur where Sasikala was allowed to stay during her parole period.
