Jaya’s demands to Modi are old wine in a new bottle: Karunanithy


DMK Patriarch Dr. M.Karunanithy has ridiculed the demands Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has submitted to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are but old wine in a new bottle. He made these remarks in response to the demands made by Jayalalitha in a 29 page document to Prime Minister Modi during her visit to Delhi recently.

Vijeyakanth ceases to be opposition leader TN Assembly


DMDK Leader Wijeyakanth has ceased to be the opposition leader in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly following the resignation of 8 members from his party. This was announced by Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Dhanpal in a note released. He added that no one is qualified to be appointed to the post of the opposition leader.

Defamation suit against Karunanithy put off


The defamation case against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK Patriarch Kalaignar Dr. M.Karunanithy, 92, was put off for March 10 by Chennai Court Sessions Judge Aathynathan. In this suit Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha has alleged that the articles written by Karunaithy, published in Ananda Vikatan and reproduced in Murasoli, A DMK party organ, is defamatory of her.
