Dhoni becomes wicket-keeper with most number of stumpings

Indian Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Saturday broke Kumar Sangakkar’s world record of highest number of stumpings in International Cricket on the day two of the third Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia.

Dhoni’s stumping of Mitchel Johnston off the bowling of off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was his 134th dismissal in 460 innings, surpassing Kumar Sangakkar’s tally of 133 stumpings from 485 innings in world Cricket.

Former Sri Lankan wicket-keeper Romesh Kaluwitharana is third on the list with 101 stumpings from 270 innings.
