Australian Test cricketer Phillip Hughes died at Sydney's St Vincent Hospital on Thursday due to brain injuries after being hit on the back of his head by a bouncer two days earlier. He was 25.
Australian team doctor Peter Brukner said "It is my sad duty to inform you that a short time ago Phillip Hughes passed away. He never regained consciousness following his injury on Tuesday."
