Rasamanohari Pulendran: Obituary

Mrs. Rasamanohari Pulendran Former Member of Parliament - Vanni District Mrs. Rasamanohari Pulendran passed away. She was the Deputy Minister of Education, Director of Mineral Sands Cooperation, Patron of the All Ceylon Hindu Congress and Committee Member of The Young Hindu Women’s Association.

She is the daughter of late Mr. Durairajah (Former Mayor of Jaffna) and late Mrs. Nageswari Durairajah. She was the wife of late Mr. K. T. Pulendran (Former Vanvuniya Urban Council Member and Director of Mineral Sands Corporation)  Beloved mother of Abirami and Durga and mother-in-law of Mr. Shankar Sivalogan and Mr.Fayaz Hudah and Beloved Grandmother of Oviya, Inaaya, Ayaana and Kadthir. Beloved sister of Mrs. Rajanayagi Sarvaloganayagam (UK), late Mrs. Rajakumari  Kathirgamanathan ,  Mrs. Rajasundari Sabaratnam (USA), Mr.Skandakumar  (Australia), late Mr. Jayakumar (ASP Sri Lanka Police), late Mr. Shanthikumar, and Mr. Nandacumar (Canada).

The remains lie at The Jayaratne Funeral Parlor Borella for last respects on Friday (2nd Jan) and Saturday (3rd Jan) from 9.00am to 9.00pm and on Sunday (4th Jan) from 7.00am for religious rights at her residence D3 ½, Manning Town Flats, Elvitigala Mawatha, Colombo 8. The cortege leaves residence at 11.00am and will be taken in procession for cremation at the General Cemetery Kanattha , Hindu Section.
