Kathirkamu Sinnathurai : Obituary


Kathirkamu Sinnathurai passed away on June 10, 2015 at Aavarankal in Jaffna.

He was 89 at the time of his demise, just four days after his return from UK to his motherland on June 6.

The funeral rites will take place at his Aavarankal residence on June 14.

He had been a founder member of the Illankai Thamil Arasu Katchi. He had also been a deputy leader of Tamil United Liberation Front. He had been a Patron of Tamil National Alliance UK Branch. He played a key role in forming a branch of the Tamil National Alliance in UK.

He closely associated himself with Tamil leaders such as Thanthai Chelvanayagam, Kopay Koman Vanniasingam, Dr.Naganathan, Amirthalingam and others during their times for the well being of the Tamil people.

The demise of elder leader of Tamil community who actively and earnestly participated in the efforts to solve their problems is a great loss to the community!
