Batticaloa Tamil National Alliance Parliamentarian Seenithamby Yogeswaran has expressed serious concerns that the conduct of expatriates burning the effigy of Leader Sampanthan, who has been guiding the destiny of the Tamil people at crucial times, is abominable, unpardonable and very hurting.
He made this observation while delivering a talk at the Inter House Sports Meet of Batticaloa St. Thresa Girls’ College. Principal Malathy Perinpanathan presided.
He further stated that the TNA has always worked in collaboration with the expatriates in the larger interest of the Tamil community. TNA will listen to their views but at the same time, the expatriates must respect the views of the people of the soil. They must listen to them and their representatives. We are in a delicate situation and the prudent leadership of our leaders has brought dividends. Our dealings cannot be one way. They must recognize that it is a two way.
