Japan and Jaffna MC ink contract to provide waste collection trucks 700 01

Japan and Jaffna Municipal Council have signed an agreement to grant USD 83,432 (approx. Rs. 15 million) for "The Project for Providing Secondhand Waste Collection Trucks in Jaffna" through its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP). The grant contract was signed at the Ambassador’s Residence in Colombo.

Akira Sugiyama, Ambassador of Japan and Ernest Arnold, Mayor of Jaffna Municipal Council signed the contract. The Society for Promotion of Japanese Diplomacy (SPJD) will coordinate donation of reconditioned waste collection trucks from Japan to Sri Lanka.
