ITAK has not compromised for unitary concept: Sumanthiran

Tamil National Alliance Spokesperson Parliamentarian M.A. Sumanthiran has dismissed charges that Illankai Tamil Arasu Katchi and TNA have compromised for a unitary state.

He was addressing the media in Vavuniya after the conclusion of ITAK Central Committee meeting. Sumanthiran has pointed out that what has been presented in Parliament is only an interim report and it is not a draft constitution.

He explained to the media that the interim report contains certain progressive proposals acceptable to us. But it is a malicious and misleading propaganda by certain cliques that we have agreed for unitary constitution. It is not true. Tamil people will not believe such baseless allegations.
