Lanka Govt Network 2.0 launched for Digitalization of Economy


The upgraded Lanka Government Network 2.0 for the enhancement of national policy of “Digitisation of Economy” was launched at the BMICH on Nov 7 under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.

It was held under auspices of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure and Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA). The upgrading of Lanka Government Network 2.0 is to network 860 government institutes with digital facilities.

Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Minister Harin Fernando, Deputy Minister Tharanath Basnayake, SLT Group Chairman P.G. Kumarasinghe Sirisena, Telecommunication Secretary Ministry, Wasantha Deshapriya were among the participants.
