Tamil National Alliance Leader R.Sampanthan has stated that the TNA will take a strong stance in the issue of missing persons. He was speaking to the kith and kin of missing persons who had been on a protest opposite the Killinochchi Kandasamy temple demanding a solution. He was accompanied by Killinochchi TNA Parliamentarian S.Sritharan.
Sampanthan stated that although the present government is committed to solve the problems of the Tamils such as resettlement, missing persons etc, there is a delay. Yet things are moving in the right direction. We need to give them time to sort out because there are complex processes such as passage of laws and so on.
He assured that the TNA would take a strong stance and urge the government to expedite the resolution of these problems.
