Sri Lanka extends red carpet welcome to Indian PM


Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who arrived in Sri Lanka this evening was extended a warm welcome at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayaka.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe shook hands with his Indian counterpart warmly and received him as he stepped out of the plane. Several ministers and officials were present to greet him.

Narendra Modi is in Sri Lanka on a two day visit to be the Chief Guest at the UN International Vesak Day celebrations.
