Kayts Magistrate Antonypillai Judeson has sentenced 26 Indian fishermen charged with fishing in Sri Lankan territorial waters to 10 years imprisonment suspended for two years. During the hearing, they pleaded guilty to the charge.

Court warned them to desist from entering the Sri Lankan territorial waters and engaging in illegal fishing.

Attorney at Law Belina Salini appeared for the Indian fishermen.
