He said:“ Thai Pongal Day is a day that we express our gratitude to Nature, the farmers and share with fellow beings. The day that our sufferings disappear is not far. Humanity will be protected from diseases by divinity.

We appeal to all Hindus to remain in their homes and pray for normalcy to return to their lives. May all beings be happy.”
