Ten students who excelled at Grade V scholarship examination honoured

Ten students including two students with special needs who scored the highest marks in the Grade Five Scholarship Examination in the island despite the Covid challenge were honoured at an event held at the Ministry of Education on Tuesday November 24.

Minister of Education, Prof. GL Peiris was the Chief Guest. State Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha, Piyal Nishantha de Silva, Vijith Berugoda and Minister of State Sita Arambepola, Secretary of Education Prof. Kapila Perera and many other education officials, principals, teachers and parents of schools representing scholarship holders. Mr. Sanjeewa Wickramanayake, Chairman, E-wis, which sponsored the distribution of Smart Boards to schools, and a number of delegates were also present at the occasion.
