Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara declared high risk zones for COVID-19


Authorities have classified Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts as high risk zones with regard to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and consequently it has been decided that the curfew imposed on those districts will continue until further notice.

This announcement has been made by the President’s Media Division. The government has instructed wholesale trading companies to sell essential consumer goods at the doorstep of consumers in the coming days in order to avoid a large number of people gathering near shops to purchase goods.

The press release states that Sathosa, Keells, LAUGFS, Arpico, Cargills Food City, Araliya, Nipuna and other wholesale companies are to be engaged in this task.
