EC accepts nominations of all 35 presidential aspirants

Chairman of the Elections Commission Mahinda Deshapriya

Chairman of the Elections Commission Mahinda Deshapriya has stated that the nomination papers submitted by all 35 presidential aspirants had been accepted.

The nominations were accepted between 9 am and 11 am at the Elections Commission, on Monday, October 07.

The presidential candidate of the Jathika Janabala Viyaparaya Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the New Democratic Front (Swan) Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa and the SLPP Presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa are prominent among them.

The following are the presidential aspirants whose applications were accepted today.
