Beware of invisible hands with political motives behind violence, don’t fall a prey to their strategies: Buddhist and Catholic prelates

Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith and Ven Ittapane Dhammalankara Maha Nayaka Thera 700 01
Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith and Ven. Ittapane Dhammalankara Maha Nayaka Thera have called upon the people to be beware of an invisible hand with political motives behind the violence in the North-Western Province and in Minuwangoda. They have misled the people.

They appealed to the people not to fall a prey to their strategies.

They were addressing the media. The duo said:

“People acted with restraint after the Easter Sunday bomb blasts. They were calm for about two weeks after the incident on 21 April. However, the sudden eruption of violence makes it clear that there is an invisible hand misleading the people.

Attacking another person does not make you a hero. This country doesn’t need cardboard heroes.”
