Leaflet campaign for abolition of Executive Presidency launched 700 01
JVP launched its leaflet distribution campaign to apprise the public regarding the abolishing of executive presidency opposite the Fort Railway Station recently. It was held under the patronage of the ‘People’s Movement to Abolish executive presidency’.

Several organizations including Journalists for a Righteous Society, Sri Lanka Young Journalists’ Association, Ceylon Mercantile Union (CMU), Women for Ethical Politics, ‘New Wings’, The Left Center, Sri Lanka Intellectuals and Professionals Organization, ‘Shining Hearts’, 52nd Movement, National Intellectuals Organization (NIO), ‘Maruthaye Handa (Voice of the Wind), ’71 Brotherhood Society’, Aluth Parapura (New Generation) and ‘Ramya Lanka’ participated.

The President of National Trade Union Center and the Member of the Political Bureau of the JVP K.D. Lal Kantha, the National Organizer of the JVP Bimal Rathnayaka MP, the National Organizer of Socialist Youth Union (SYU) Eranga Gunasekera were also present.
