Pindapatha Procession held to mark National Independence Day 700 02

A ‘Pindapatha’ (alms begging) program was held with the participation of 100 Buddhist Monks in Eppawla to commemorate the 71st Nation Day of Sri Lanka.

It was organized by ‘Bala Pawura’, a social service organization from Eppawala. Chief Sangha Nayaka for North and Central Provinces, Chief Prelate of Eppawela Keththaramaya Ven. Mahamankadawala Piyaratne Thero and others were participants. ‘Pindapatha’ procession traveled a distance of 1km, from Yoda-Elagama to Beththaramaya in Eppawala.
