Tamil Progressive Alliance rejects offer to join new govt: Mano Ganesan

Tamil Progressive Alliance Leader Parliamentarian Mano Ganesan on Tuesday stated that his Alliance comprising five parties has rejected an offer to join the newly formed government.

Earlier, he met with President Maithripala Sirisena to discuss about the present situation in the country at the President’s secretariat.

In a Tweet, Mano Ganesan said:’ We were invited by the President to join the new government. But we rejected the invitation. As a civilized political entity, we as Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) team of all Six (6) MPs met President Maithripala Sirisena and told him that we can't accept his invitation to join his government."
