Indian Army Chief in sacred Koneswaram


Indian Army Chief, General Bipin Rawat took part in worship at the historic and sacred Koneswaram temple in Trincomalee and sought blessings. He also received traditional kalanchi from the temple priest. He is currently on an official visit to the island following an invitation from his Sri Lankan counterpart.

He was greeted at the temple's entrance by Eastern Province Commander, Major General Santhusitha Pannawala, 221 Brigade Commander, Brigadiar Sumith Premalal and other senior army officers from the area.
