Five TN fishermen remanded for fishing in Lankan waters

Mannar Magistrate T.Saravanaraja has remanded five Tamil Nadu fishermen till April 8 allegedly for illegal fishing in Sri Lankan territorial waters.

The Court made the order when they were produced before it. Earlier they were taken into custody by the Sri Lankan Navy while fishing in the seas off Talaimannar and their boat too was seized.

Columbus, Nicholas Addaikalam, Paranjothy Arulsahayam, Jeyapal Jeyakanth and Mookiah Murugan are the five fishermen from Pampan in Tamil Nadu who have been remanded.
