Sathosa Case; Parliamentarian Johnston acquitted

Kurunegala High Court on Wednesday acquitted Parliamentarian and former Minister and Johnston Fernando, his private secretary Sakeer Mohamed and Sathosa Chairman Nalin Fernando of all charges in the Sathosa case.

They were charged with the alleged import of 222,717 metric tonnes of rice for Lanka Sathosa in 2008 without the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers.
