Kurunegala High Court has ordered the release of former minister Johnston Fernando on a cash bail of Rs 25,000 and personal bail of Rs 2.5 million rupees. High Court made the order following an application made by Johnston Fernando sequel to Court earlier refusing him bail.


The remand of former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapakse has been extended till June 10. Kaduwela Magistrate Dhammika Hemapala rejected Basil’s application for bail and extended the remand.
