Thaipusam, a religious celebration devoted to Lord Murugan, was celebrated by Hindu devotees with dedication and religious fervor at the Subramaniya Swamy Kovil in Botu Caves in the North of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on February 3.

The devotees climbed the steps of the Cave and reached the sanctum sanctorum chanting Murugan Namams and singing hymns in praise of Valli-Theivanai Udanurai Lord Murugan. Some devotees performed vows by piercing various parts of their body with silver skewers, carrying known Kavadi, and carrying milk-filled pots up the stairs to the cave temple.
