“Compasssion the Foundation of Ahimsa” theme of Buddha Pournima

“Compassion – The foundation of Ahimsa” was the theme of the two day Buddha Pournima celebrations at Prashanthy Nilayam. Around 300 Devotees from 10 Nations - Malasiya, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Lao, Taiwan, Nepal, Japan and Srilanka, of Zone IV and V, participated on the first day of two days Buddha Pournima Celebrations.

 The session commenced by Buddhist chanting by Devotees from Thailand and Nepal. Dr V K Ravindran, Chairman of Zone IV, delivered his welcome address and introduced the two speakers of the day ie., Sri Sampath from Sri Lanka and Sri Anura from Singapore. 4 Cultural dances followed next by the children and youth from the Sai Organizations of Nepal. The Bhajans by International Team followed next and the Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan marked the end of the proceedings.
