Chariot Festival at Trinco Pathirakali Koil (Video)

The chariot festival of the Trincomalee Pathirakali Amman Temple was held on Thursday, March 29 with the participation of hundreds of devotees from all parts of the district and the island.

Statues of deities of Pillaiyar, Murugan and Kali were placed in three chariots and were drawn along the outer yard of the temple. Devotees- males, females and children- were seen singing hymns in chorus. Artistes were playing nathaswaram and drums as the chariots moved. Several devotees were performing their vows.
