Annual Kamban Festival commences in Colombo

The annual Kamban Vizha commenced recently in Colombo with a procession commencing from Aishwarya Lakshmi Amman Temple in Wellawatte and proceeded to Ramakrishna Mission Hall.

A portrait of Poet Kamban and the statues of Sita sameda Rama were taken along the procession with Tamil scholars from Sri Lanka and abroad and members of public.

The event was held under the auspices of Akila Ilankai Kamban Kalakam.
