Trincomalee Visvanathaswamy Araneri Paddasalai celebrated its 8th anniversary at the Sri Koneswara Hindu College Primary on Sunday, January 19.
Retired Teacher Counselor Annaletchumy Velautham presided. General Secretary Nalliah Sriskandarasa delivered the welcome address. Assistant Secretary Visakaratnam Srinivasan proposed the vote of thanks.
Trincomalee Assistant District Secretary N.Pratheepan was the Chief Guest. Retired Teacher Kalabooshanam Manimegalathevy Karthigesu and Directress of Trincomalee Isai Nadanalayam Vijayakumary Thavasilingam were Guests of Honour. Cultural Officers Sivagnanam Mahendrarasa and Veerasingam Koneswaran were special guests.
The event commenced with the hoisting of Nanthy Flag, lighting the traditional lamps by guests and singing of Aranery Geetham. Chief Priest of the Arulmigu Visvanatha Swamy Koil Sivasri S. Krishnakumara Kurrukkal delivered benedictory address. There were cultural programs by students. Prizes were awarded to achiever students.
